Fall 2014. Filmmaker Casey Neistat travels the world, eats fast food and crashes cars. He straight up breaks the rules, which is not only a concept throughout his work but in his life. Although some may interpret this as reckless or dangerous, it’s clear that he’s doing more than just providing entertainment: he’s having a shitload of fun. For “The Food Issue” of Resource Magazine, we reveal Casey’s long-standing relationship with food, and how his teenage years as a dishwasher connects to his massively successful career as a filmmaker and social influencer. This cover story was written and produced by me. The final piece was derived from a 14-hour photo shoot and a night at Casey’s home in New London, CT where we recorded over five hours of interview content.
